The 2015 Juno Awards officially came to a close on Sunday evening as Canadians gathered in celebration of homegrown talent and their achievements within the music industry. Among the exciting appearances, performances and winners came one surprising album announcement.
Before her induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Alanis Morissette announced her plan to re-master her hit 1995 album Jagged Little Pill, while walking the red carpet Sunday evening.
The album will feature unreleased songs from the years surrounding the time she was creating the album, with the possibility of recent material as well. Her idea is ‘to make it half-book, half-music,’ with plans to include personal writings, providing fans with context to what that period of time was like and the whirlwind experience that ensued after.
In celebration for Morissette’s announcement and induction into the Hall of Fame, we took on the difficult task of narrowing down a list of our five favourite Alanis hits from throughout the years – with many of them from the Jagged Little Pill album.
