World Pride in is full swing and everything is coming up rainbows. With Canada Day fast approaching many people are heading North to cottage country. But for those of us choosing to stay in Toronto there is no shortage of things to do this weekend with Pride in town.
Most recognizable is the Pride Parade taking place this Sunday before the closing ceremonies. It’s a staple of the 2 week-long event and dare we say the most exciting?
Here are a few things we can all look forward to seeing at this year’s parade.
Floats
It goes without saying that there are floats at a parade but we promise you’ve never seen ones quite like this.
Colour
This is no time to wear your boring old black t-shirt and jeans. From full on naked-ness to rainbow themed attire, you’re sure to get your fill of bright hues (and tutus) because anything goes.
Love
Just so, much, love. It’s what we enjoy the most about the whole thing. Good vibes and good people coming together to celebrate. What’s better than that on a Sunday afternoon?
The parade starts at 1pm on Sunday and goes from the corner of Church St and Bloor St all the way down Yonge St to Yonge-Dundas Square. We hope to see you there. Go get your pride on!
Will you be attending the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29 at 1PM?
