Happy mani monday everyone. It’s hot out and it looks like Summer is here to stay so today’s post features some of our favourite warm weather nail colours.
This nude and a coral nail polish combo is the epitome of summer. True to our word, we’re playing with negative space again. That middle stripe? It’s naked nail.
A few tips to create clean negative space lines for your manicure Monday adventure:
1. Use tape that’s not too sticky to avoid residue on your nails. Scotch or masking tape will work best.
2. Allow the nail polish to set for a long time before peeling the tape off. Don’t be too eager, you may lift the gooey polish and ruin the clean lines you created if you peel it too early. It’s a good idea to avoid piling on too many thick layers of nail polish for the same reason.
3. Dip a Q-tip or dotter in acetone to clean the negative space if some nail polish sneaks under the tape.
4. A high gloss top coat is key to make nails go from a work in progress to complete work of art.
And naturally, jazz up an accent nail. We opted to fill the negative space with a few gold studs.
