We’re keeping it long and glitzy this Mani Monday. Is it just us or has there been a lot of nail art featuring a metallic base and glittery detailing? We likey.
Remember when you were afraid to mix black and navy blue? That’s how we felt about mixing metallics. As it turns out, both can be done beautifully.
Use a metallic base and any glitter that matches closely or contrasts strongly. Then dab it onto the base of your nail. When there’s almost nothing left on the brush, run it up the length of your nail to disperse a few sparkles, letting it look slightly ombred. Or keep it clean and make the line of your half moon or crescent sharp.
The greatest part of mixing metalics is anything goes. Added bonus, glitter is forgiving so this is and great manicure if you’re in a rush but want some interesting nail art.
For this #manimonday we also wanted a great transition for Fall. We’re no longer thinking about bright Summer nail polishes, but these nails are still fun.
What nail art are you rocking this week?
