#Fatties, the sun is shining, the World Cup is coming and we’re hungry (and thirsty). Torontonians have become major patio mongers over the years, likely because the sunny warmth of Summer is so fleeting and Winter is so damn punishing. (Thanks for that, polar vortex. Asshole.)
For your lounging-on-a-patio-like-a- slightly-sweaty-yet-fancy- sloth pleasure, here are some of our favourite spots to enjoy a beer, a cocktail, nachos, snacks and all the things we love even more when served in the sunshine.
1. Bellwoods Brewery (124 Ossington Ave)
The fact of the matter is, suggesting just one patio on the Ossington strip is hard. They’re all deliciously chill, abounding with craft beers, various snacks and hot man bun heads (you know how we love our man buns). Bellwoods Breweries is great because we love the industrial feel of this place, as it used to be a chop shop. BONUS: All their cask pints were $6 each last summer. Come on.

2. The Beverley Hotel (335 Queen St W)
The Bev is Toronto’s hidden gem. Do yourself a favour; go on a treasure hunt in the Queen & John area and meander up to their rooftop patio. With a 360˚ view of downtown Toronto, delicious Prohibition inspired cocktails and a special menu designed for your patio lounging pleasure, you won’t be sorry. This place is an oasis in the heart of the city. Try the Bird on a Wire, it goes down far easier than a drink this strong should.
3. Hush (303 King St W)
A #marinatheintern favourite. Hush features the most delicious Thai nachos and great drink specials. Added perk? The well groomed humans who so frequently roam King West. A people watching delight.
Wherever you go, we have one simple request, take pictures and make your friends jealous. Lounge hard friends, lounge hard.
