Penpals is a column where our friends in the media write us a letter and fill in some blanks. Today’s Penpal is Lisa Lagace, a freelance writer, social media consultant, and the creator of Turn The Record Over, a lifestyle and culture blog for creative professionals.

Dear Clutch,
In the beginning I wanted to be a musician. But then I grew up and realized I couldn’t hold a note, and my fingers were too small to properly play an F chord.
If I had to choose between puppies and kittens I’d choose puppies every single time.
My favourite thing about my job is the impressive events I get to take part in and help promote. But sometimes it can get a little stressful. When I need to cool down I watch shows produced by boss ladies like Amy, Tina, Lena, Mindy, Ilana and Abbi.
Print is how I take my books. Social media is how I take my news.
At night I dream about new creative possibilities.
Right now I’m loving the anticipation of summer festival season.
My favourite sleep position is on my stomach.
PR professionals make me very busy. I wish they would make a point to personally email writers instead of auto-subscribing us to giant generic press release lists we never have time to read.
Before I go, I want you to know that winter is almost over, and that is the greatest gift of all.
blue skies,
Lisa Lagace
