Over its four-year existence, LAB Consignment has become a destination for several Canadian style icons, including Emily Haines of Metric and Feist. In 2010, Haines listed LAB as a favourite spot to consign her clothes, saying “There’s a place called LAB Consignment in Toronto where half my wardrobe is for sale—along with the rest of the neighbourhood indie rockers.”
For those in the Toronto area who prefer browsing in-person, Baker has just opened The Studio at LAB, an appointment-only showroom where customers can enjoy a discreet personal-shopping experience. The Studio at LABis available for private shopping parties and events of up to 12 people.
LABconsignment.com features new, unworn items as well as gently used pieces by designers including (but not limited to): Acne, Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Celine, Chanel, Chloé, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Helmut Lang, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Rag & Bone, Salvatore Ferragamo, Theory, Tom Ford, Valentino and many more. And with the enhanced consignment program, new items are being added to the site daily.
Of the expansion, Baker says, “I created LAB Consignment to offer people in Toronto an affordable way to infuse their wardrobes with some luxury items and consign those they’re not using anymore. With the new web store’s launch, the rest of Canada—and the world—can get involved.”
The new LABconsignment.com also offers competitive shipping rates for customers worldwide: free delivery for all orders over $200 in North America, and a $40 flat rate for overseas customers.
