Happy 56th Birthday Barbie! We have to say, you’ve had quite a few milestones throughout the years. In 1963 you became an Executive (career girl), then you became BFF’s with Christie, the first ethnically diverse Barbie in 1968, and you ran your first presidential campaign in 1992.
As the saying goes: another year older, another year wiser. We think you should be pretty proud of your accomplishments thus far… but you know it’s never too late to try new things.
We think you could use a few more positive influences in your life. So as our birthday gift to you, we’d like to introduce you to three new friends. We think you’ll love hanging out with them!
Barbie, Meet Hillary Clinton
She’s an accomplished, respected, hardworking woman, and despite a recent controversy, we think Hillary would be a great role model for you. Her schedule is pretty busy at the moment as she campaigns for her Kickstarter fundraiser, and considers a presidential campaign. But once she receives the funding required for production, we’re sure that she’ll be more than happy to mentor you.
Barbie, meet Lammily
Replicating the body measurements of the average 19-year-old American teen, Lammily is the perfect BFF to hangout with. She promotes realistic beauty standards, lives a healthy lifestyle, wears minimal makeup and has a killer sense of style. Lammily is pretty popular after gaining funding for her first production run, but we’re sure she’ll make time for you.
Barbie, meet the Tree Change dolls
Born and raised in Australia, these girls have traded their high-maintenance glitz for a relaxed, down-to-earth lifestyle traveling the world. Each new friend is developed with love and care as their mother Sonia hand paints their minimal makeup and their grandmother sews and knits their clothing. If you’re interested in hanging out, give them a shout and they’ll hop the next flight from the land down under.
Happy Birthday Barbie! Enjoy a second piece of cake, you deserve it.
