It’s Friday and therefore officially the start of Labour Day Weekend. We will cherish this last gasp of Summer with all the sun and sangria we can handle, but we can’t help but get a little excited for what September has in store.
Based on the excitement over the suspiciously early return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, we know we aren’t the only ones who have Fall favourites on the brain. Here is what we are looking forward to and what will help mourn the loss of Summer:
TIFF

September might as well be renamed TIFF month in Toronto. We think the festival is pretty great and it would seem that the rest of the world thinks so too. One of the top tier places for Hollywood and independent film to show us their A-game, TIFF turns Toronto into the centre of the universe (for us at least) from September 4-14. TIFF combines great film, music, people and fashion, which brings us to our next point.
Fall Fashion

Utter the words leather, sweaters, booties or layering to any fashionista in late August and you won’t be able to shut them up until you take him/her shopping. There’s something about layering up that just feels right and looks so good. A few notable trends that we have our eye on: oversized coats, feline femininity, and 60’s silhouettes.
Seasonal Change

When the sun sets on Summer we can officially start looking forward to the slew of seasonal things that happen within the months of September to November: Thanksgiving, Halloween, the leaves changing colour, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, chili, apple cider. We could go on forever.
So dive into your storage space and dig up your sweaters because Fall is just around the corner. Personally we are super excited. What do you look forward to the most during this season?
