It’s true, a lot of Toronto’s hip, tiny restaurants have shut down til Boxing Day – which we’re willing to excuse. Some of them are making up for it, like Rose & Sons 10 Days of Brunch starting on Boxing Day. But you’ve got some solid options at hand. Here we go:
1. The Lakeview: Toronto’s tried, tested and true 24 hr diner is open and offering a deep fried turkey dinner for $17. Plus $1 from each meal goes to FoodShare Toronto.
2. Kingyo Isakaya: It’s business as usual at this drool worthy Japanese restaurant. Great choice if you’re actually trying to avoid the holidays.
3. Caplansky’s: It’s a Jewish deli, so why would it be closed? They’re regular slate of #nom worthy Jewish comfort food is available as usual all day.

And the Toronto Star has a pretty awesome article out today about non-traditional Christmas celebrations.
