April 7, 2014, TORONTO – On Friday, April 4 BANK (Buy Art Not Kids) Art Auction returned for its second annual fundraising event benefitting Ratanak International in their fight to bring an end to child sex trafficking. Anne-Marie Mediwake, co-host CBC News Toronto, served as the evening’s host.
Through an art auction including a one of a kind dining experience with Chef Matt Blondin, BANK raised $60,000. At last year’s inaugural event, $50,000 was raised. For 2014, it was BANK founder Rachelle Kearns’ hope to exceed that amount.
Special guests included Gerry Dee (“Mr.D”), Suresh John (“Mr.D”), Greg Bryk (“Bitten”), Danielle Bryk (“Bryk House”), Ainsley Kerr, Demore Barnes (“Hemlock Grove”), Anne-Marie Mediwake (co-host, CBC News Toronto) and Ratanak International founder Brian McConaghy.

Human trafficking is a $32 billion dollar industry – that’s more than the annual combined income of Google, Starbucks and Nike. BANK and Ratanak International are working tirelessly to change this statistic. Get Social: @BuyArtNotKids #BuyArtNotKids facebook.com/ BuyArtNotKidsArtAuction
