What’s the best show you’ve seen recently? (music, stage or otherwise)
Conversations with Maria. WOW! A drag queen singing verbatim sex experiences at Rhubarb! His name is Joel Klein and he’s some kind of genius. So touching….so funny. True profound camp.
What are your plans for 2015?
Going to London, England in April as part of my residency for the Tracy Wright Archive. I will be researching the relationship between art and criminality.
Most memorable moment of your career thus far?
My Dad’s face when he came to the ceremony for the naming of my street.
What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?
What advice do you have for people who want to get to where you are?
Don’t jerk off. No….I would say try and do both, but keep a balance in your life, i.e. your responsibilities and your passions. A lot of the latter, but definitely some of the former.
