‘Tis the season, Manicure Monday-ers. The season for glittery nails. Over the next few weeks you’re sure to see some festive designs from us. We’re starting slow, easing into the glitter. Just kidding. These nails are insane and we love it.
Take your favourite festive colour and use it as a base coat. The darker the better with this nail art design. Daniela doesn’t want to scream Christmas, so we use a rich, jewel toned teal.
Once it sets use clear topcoat to brush on some polish at the base of your nail, letting it thin out at random levels near the middle of your nail. Next, dip each brush into your glitter (we used a rose gold) and tap the brush to sprinkle it on. Once you’ve done this to all the nails, redip the brush and touch up each nail, filling in any bald spots.
Feel free to go overboard rather than under with the glitter as it’s likely to shed a bit. Once you’ve let it set for a good amount of time brush on a glossy, healthy layer of top coat. We’d recommend using an old bottle or cleaning the brush between nails so you don’t permanently infuse the bottle with glitter.
What do your festive nails look like?
