Premiere photography exhibit to open January 9
Ali Eisner, Gemini nominated Canadian talent, opens her premiere photography exhibit at The Gladstone Hotel’s Art Bar (1214 Queen Street West) in the new year. Favourite Things runs January 9 – 19, 2014 from 12:00 – 5:00 pm daily. Eisner is an 18 year veteran of the children’s entertainment and puppeteering industry in North America.
As the name suggests, Favourite Things features stills taken from some of Eisner’s most exciting and memorable moments. “I’m attracted to people and things that go unnoticed and joyous moments that quietly hide,” explains Eisner. The exhibit shows pieces from her North American travels, nature, architecture and work as a puppeteer with a loving eye on the Canadian music and arts scene, including shots of musicians like Kathleen Edwards, Serena Ryder and Ron Sexsmith.

The exhibit’s 10 day run launches with an opening night reception on from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on January 9, 2014. All pieces being shown are available for purchase.
Favourite Things marks a period of growth for Eisner, coming on the heels of her departure from CBC’s “Mamma Yamma”, a role she developed and performed from 2007 to April 2013.
Eisner’s photos are shot on a Nikon D700. Pieces will be available for viewing prior to the reception, starting January 2, 2014.
